My last coffee in SG before scooting off to Melby was something special from Sarnies, an unassuming cafe at Telok Ayer Street. I like that it’s unlike they typical Singaporean hipster cafes all in the rage now – with its walls adorned with art, handwritten menu boards and hand drawn pictures on coffee bean bags, everything seems a little more personal.
Bob told me to go try the barista’s special he’d spotted from Krystle’s insta:
and I must say it is rather rare that Bob compliments a cuppa coffee so I thought I had to try it. BTW this is off the menu!
It was very smooth, taste was well balanced between the orange and chocolate – not much of coffee though. Apparently the founder of this drink is the head barista, but I had a junior barista (Kenneth btw, very friendly guy) make this instead. According to Krystle, I “didn’t try the reaaaallll one”… wah but if the “fake” tasted this good, I definitely need to make a 2nd trip.
