Tucked between Omotesando and Gaienmae is a cosy little coffee shop called Omotesando Koffee which sells the most perfect coffee and baked custard squares.
It’s gained quite a cult following, which explained the line of about twenty when we arrived, but we soon realized why.
The owner, Kunitomo, personally pulls each shot and makes each beverage. Though there was quite a line forming, he remained calm and collected, and patiently worked at every beverage – we could tell that a lot of heart was put into each one!
Here’s a look at the baked custard they sell along with their coffee – a caramel layer coats it, lending a crunch when you bite in, and a perfectly soft caramel inside that is both fragrant and not-too-sweet.
Pictured here is the iced cappuccino, we also had the long black which was really good.
When we went, there wasn’t a place to sit and enjoy your beverage, save the outdoor courtyard, so we enjoyed our beverages to-go.
Coffee is priced a little on the higher end (500-700 yen) but very worth it.
